The Team begins to arrive

The first of the interstate participants have started to arrive in Portarlington. On Friday 12 April Mark picked up Chief Investigator Peter Veth (UWA), Partner Investigators Ian MacLeod and Vicki Richards and Researcher Jen Rodrigues (all from the WA Museum) at Tullamarine Airport for what turned out to be a long and very uncomfortable drive to Portarlington. Some of the Team got out in the Heritage Victoria boat Trim for a look at the jackup barge – thanks to Peter Harvey. Then on Saturday we were joined by Researcher Amer Khan from South Australia and volunteer Eric Bruning. More people came in on Sunday including Researchers Professor Dudley Creagh and Andrew Viduka as well as our first International participant – Matt Carter from New Zealand.

Weather has been just perfect at the moment – clear blue skies and mid 20s Celcius – hope it stays this way for a while.
